Our team of PhD-level editors, including former journal editors and grant specialists, offers expert, personalized support to your faculty and trainees. We help clarify and enhance your manuscripts, grants, and proposals across the full lifecycle: from storyboarding to the final polish.

Need to talk it through? Our Scientific Consulting service offers live, high-level discussion of your grant, paper, reviewer comments, or a challenging collaboration. Each session includes 1–2 hours of offline review of your materials and a 30-minute Zoom call with a former journal editor or grant specialist (flat rate 350 USD).

For departments and institutes that want broader access across affiliated labs, we offer a limited number of Institutional Discount partnerships each year.   • Language editing costs $0.12/word.

    The final cost of Scientific Editing ($141.50/h), Structural Editing ($102/h), and Strategic Advice ($141.50/h) depends on time spent, which is influenced by the length of the document and the extent of edits required. For a standard-length (~6,000 words) manuscript, the average prices are: $900 for a Structural Edit, $1350 for a Scientific Edit, and $550 for Strategic Advice. Grants tend to take longer and thus cost more.

    Scientific Consulting is a flat rate of $200 with an associate editor or $350 with a scientific editor.

  • It depends on our availability. We state 7 to 10 business days for an edit, but we are often quicker. Please discuss your timelines directly with the editor and we will try to accommodate them.

  • Once you have submitted your documents, you will be paired with an editor. They will email you to discuss your needs and timelines, then perform the edit and email it back to you upon completion.

  • Yes, you can indicate a preference in the comments box on the submission form. We will try to accommodate requests but it may extend the turnaround time or may not be possible.

  • You can indicate your budget in the comments box on the submissions page and discuss it with the editor.

  • Yes, we can do this if you select a Scientific Edit. Please ask the editor directly.

  • We can check those for you if needed. They are charged at the same hourly rate but typically take less time to edit, and have a 7 to 10 day turnaround.
